I am delighted to announce that I will visit Sejong City, Republic of Korea, in mid-October to present a chapter at the Korea Institute for International Economic Policy (KIEP) as part of its Global South Think Tank Partnership Program.
My chapter examines industrial cooperation between Europe and North Africa, focusing on how European trade, investment, energy, and industrial policies are reshaping the region’s development prospects. It will also consider what the European experience can teach us about the opportunities and challenges associated with deeper industrial cooperation between Korea and North Africa.
The broader KIEP research project investigates the industrial transition of Algeria, Egypt, Morocco, and Tunisia and seeks to formulate practical policy recommendations for strengthening mutually beneficial economic relations between Korea and the region.
I look forward to discussing the chapter with KIEP researchers and the other participants in the program, and to contributing to this timely research initiative.
